Olivia's First Day of Kindergarten

It was a great first day and went off without any problems. And now that I think of it, it has been a great first couple of weeks. Livi really likes Kindergarten and seems to be doing lots of fun stuff! As a teacher I love being on the other side of a school ager and hearing the teacher and classroom stories. On her first day I only cried a little. Strangely enough, I cried more the day before just thinking about her being in the classroom and on the bus.?

You'll see why I cried on the morning of... Mike and I took the morning off to be there. We waited at her daycare for the bus, then once she got on went to her school to see her get off. (were not weird, everyone does it!) Then we watched her get off and walked with her down to her room. We got to hang out for a little bit because she was one of the first buses. Then Mike and I went back to spy on her cuz, well, we just had too! She was looking a book (so proud of her!) Heres the pics from that day.

Cleveland Zoo

Just before school started Mike and I took the girls to the zoo. The weather was perfect and we had a lot of fun just walking around. The girls took every opportunity to take a photo with statues. They are such little hams.... must get that from their dad? watching seals

Buddy Walk

We participated in the Buddy Walk this weekend.

The walk was about 1 mile long. We went around the outside of Progressive Field then inside around the track. It was neat to be down on the field looking up into the stands. The kids got a second wind when we were inside. They were shaking their pom poms and giving high fives to the volunteers!

I think Ryan gave high fives to everyone she passed :)

After the walk you get lunch, then sit in the stands and eat.

sidewalk chalk fun!

The girls were playing outside with their sidewalk chalk. Livi drew a living room with a couch, 2 computers (one that had Mario Bros. on it). She had a dog and a cat as well. Here is a picture of the girls playing on the computers and in the house they drew. Make sure you check out Liv and Maddie's drawings of Spongebob and Patrick! The 2 computers, the one on the right has Mario Bros., not sure what was on the one on the left?

Corn Festival Parade

Liv and Maddie were asked to be in the Corn Festival Parade for their school. Livi got to ride on the float. Maddie was supposed to be handing out popsicles but it was soo hot and she was tired she ended up just riding in the stroller. I swear there really was people watching even though you can't see anyone on the sides of the rode in these pics. :)
