Ariel's Grotto

I had a little play date with a couple of Olivia's friends. She wanted an Ariel party so I bought a few party accessories and made Ariel's Grotto in the basement. It was a huge hit and the girls loved it! The streamers are actually two shades of green but they look green and yellow. That's supposed to be seaweed. Then I blew up 50 balloons for the water. My finger is raw from tying the balloons. It was all worth it when Liv went down there with a huge smile on her face!! :) It was pretty much for Maddie too! She loves Ariel.

The girls ate in the grotto and of course watched The Little Mermaid

They made their own sundaes for dessert!
I think they had more sprinkles than ice cream when they were all done!
Maddie is missing from the photo because after lunch she asked to lay down. She must have been tired because they were having fun and she went upstairs, put quiet music on so the "big girls" wouldn't wake her up, and laid down. She slept through the rest of the party.

Liv got some great presents! Mom and Dad gave her a Polly Pocket Pool! She has been asking for this for about 3 weeks. Chloe gave her a pool for her Zu Zu. We set that up right a way and watch sparkles(the zu zu's name) run through all the parts that we already have. Madeline got her paper balls to hang from the ceiling in her room. She asked to do that but that requires some planning on moms part. They will make great accessories to her room!

playing with the Polly Pocket Pool!
After her friends left Livi went downstairs to play with her toys but then got upset with mom when I wouldn't pull hair off of her finger. Just a little sensitive, so we went down for a nap. It was a great play date! Thanks to Lindsay, Madeline, Chloe, and Sara for coming and the great gifts!
